I. LOVE. THIS. SHOOT.
It combines a bunch of my favorite things. Vintage style. Los Angeles. Union Station. Old suitcases. And…. my dear friend Nicole (the latest engaged roommate!)
Nicole and I met a few years back at church through some mutual friends. Nicole is just… quality. She’s intentional with both her words and actions. She’s kind. There’s just a peacefulness that she exudes. These are some of the reasons she is one of my good friends and why I’m so glad we got to live with each other for a season, albeit a short one!
I got to know Nicole better through swing dancing, which is where Octavio comes in. They met each other dancing at several different swing dance venues around Orange County. When you see the two of them dancing, there is such a chemistry. They move so well together, probably because they are connected much deeper than just dance partners.
So when it came time to do their engagement shoot it only seemed right that it should somehow involve a period look that they are both drawn to. I mean, the outfits they chose for the shoot are items they already had. It was just perfect.
I mean…. really?
I think the one on the left might be my favorite.
Isn’t my roommate beautiful?
The light in Union Station is crazy awesome!
This area is closed to the public. But it’s always worth asking! The head of security asked how long I needed and when I said “5 minutes?” he said “I’ll give you 10.” Nice!
I love this next series.
And this one too.
Octavio sometimes call Nicole “a tall drink of water”. He’s not kidding!
Slipping into something a little more comfortable.
What is it about old alley’s that I love SO MUCH!?!
